Born in Taranaki my family soon moved to the South Island and really this is where I have remained. I graduated from Otago University in 1983 and started general practice in Motueka in 1991, initially in Riwaka, then Pah St and on to Greenwood in 2008.
From 2018 for 2 ½ years I left Greenwood to experience work in different places. The highlight of this time was having the privilege to work as a volunteer in Vanuatu and Nepal.
I am now back working in Greenwood trying to fill the fairly large shoes of Dr Martin Hudson, who retired in 2020.
I have post graduate qualifications in sexual health , travel medicine and gynaecology.
Outside of work I love the outdoors enjoying tramping, biking and caving.
I have 2 adult daughters, both of whom are living in Motueka, so this is clearly meant to be my home.
