The Nelson/Tasman region has always been home for me. I grew up on a dairy farm up the Sherry River in Tapawera and attended Nelson College where I was a boarder in Barnicoat house. I returned to the region at the end of 2022 after living, studying, and working in Dunedin for the last 9 years.
I graduated from the University of Otago with my medical degree in 2019 and worked as a doctor at Dunedin Hospital for 3 years. I especially enjoyed the time I spent working in the Emergency Department and Student Health. In 2023 I completed my first year of postgraduate training towards becoming a specialist GP, passing my clinical and written exams. I will be continuing to progress through my general practice training programme toward my GP fellowship in the next couple of years. I like all areas of General Practice and enjoy consistently working with people over time to improve health and well-being.
Outside of work I enjoy weightlifting, cycling, and spending time with my pets, family, and friends.
